Description of the don Quijote Language School - Salamanca
The don Quijote Salamanca school is located in the heart of the old city centre. The building is 100 metres from the famous University of Salamanca and just two minutes away from the stunning and magnificent Plaza Mayor. The school is a restored 16th-century monastery, whose modern materials used for the recent renovation create a natural balance with the style, class and richness class of previous centuries.
The school can be entered through a beautiful courtyard. This courtyard, together with the garden, divides the school into three parts: the offices, the cafeteria and the classrooms. The main building has three floors, 17 classrooms, a recreation room (with computers, video, sound system, etc.), a library, a staff room and three offices.
Our premises were picked 20 years ago to be home for the first don Quijote school. From the beginning, the idea had been clear: to create the largest Spanish as a Foreign Language teaching organisation under the slogan “¡Vive el español!” (Live Spanish!). These 20 years of success have been a time of hard work, much involvement and dedication from everyone … and the school remains as youthful and full of illusion today as it did on its first day.
